Homemade Garlic Knots

What's better than dough, garlic & butter?!

We LOVE pizza & make our homemade pizza dough multiple times a week. Lately we've been experimenting with the dough to see what else we could create. We've made bread sticks, cheese sticks & gaaaarlic knoooots!! By far our favorite.

HOW WE DID IT

First we started by making our quick & easy homemade pizza dough .

Now that you have your dough, grab parsley, oregano, garlic, salt. Preheat your oven 450 degrees F.

Take your dough and form it into a log shape. We like to add spices at this stage to spice the inside of the dough. Take a look - -

Now fold that over and roll to look like sooo-

We roll ours out to about 16" then cut 1" pieces like this-

Now it's time to knot these suckers up. We like to do a traditional twist, pull & pinch. Take one of the slices and roll it into your hands until it's 8ish" long. Tie the dough and pinch the ends together.

Now grab your butter & spices. We like to use garlic salt, parsley & oregano for the butter as well.

We don't have (or want!!) a microwave so we melt the butter on the stove and stir in the spices. We melt enough butter to brush the garlic knots before and after we cook them,

about 2 Tbspns.

After you butter up your garlic knots, pop them into the oven for 12-15 minutes..

...until they are golden brown on top & butter again

&& done! Serve with marinara or whatever your heart desires.
