Energy Bites

Updated: Aug 2, 2021

Freaking YUM, y'all!! These are cheap, healthy & sooo easy. BONUS- you can use pretty much anything you have in your pantry!

Adam is constantly doing something. Whether it's printing, building, fixing or painting, the man is ALWAYS going! It's hard to feed a moving target so I looked up snacks that we're packed with protein & easy for on the go, energy bites was on the list! The best thing about these is.. you can throw in different ingredients each time & it's still tasty!

We started with pumpkin spice oatmeal packets that we've had for awhile. We added cocoa powder, nuts, flax seed, peanut butter & honey. Honestly you can substitute, add or change anything to fit your taste buds. I've noticed the most important parts are the oatmeal and peanut butter (or something creamy) to hold everything together. Other than that, do your thing!

We used-

1 cup rolled oats

8 Tbspn peanut butter

2 Tbspn cocoa powder

2 Tbspn flaxseed

1 handful of almonds - crushed in a mortar & pestal

1 Tbspn honey

Switch it up for your taste buds!

I use my hands to mash all the ingredients together, I tried a spoon/spatula thing for a few seconds, but resorted back to my hands. After everything is good and smashed together, start rolling the mixture into little balls. You can make them any size you wish.

Donezo! There you have it folks. The easiest of peasiest homemade snacks.

Now your turn!! Make your own combo and send us pictures!!
